** 2009-2010 Tax Credits**
up to $1500
Specifically for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) business, this legislation makes a number of important changes to the existing tax incentives for homeowners who make qualified purchases on high-efficiency HVAC products and equipment in their primary residences. Overall the tax credits available have been increased up to 30% for the installed cost of these improvements, or a total of $1,500 for residential HVAC products installed from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010.
For your convenience, we're providing a tax credit certificate that features the entire qualifying York product under this new act as well as a FAQ that provides further details and clarification on this new opportunity.

TEP gives you up to $250 in rebates!
The Efficient Home Cooling Program provides rebates towards the purchase of qualifying high-efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps.
The amount of the rebate depends on the efficiency (SEER) of equipment you purchase.

Why purchase a high-efficiency air conditioner or heat pump?
- Save money – installed correctly, these high-efficiency units can save 20-50 percent on heating and cooling costs.
- Improve comfort – new air conditioners and heat pumps are typically quieter than older units and will operate at maximum efficiency and output to keep you cool all summer long.
- Benefit the environment – Do your part! High-efficiency cooling equipment reduces carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions compared to older, inefficient units.
Who is eligible for the rebate?
- You must be a Tucson Electric Power Company residential customer.
- The new air conditioner or heat pump must be installed at a TEP electric service address.
- The new cooling equipment must have a minimum rating of 14 SEER.
- The new cooling equipment must be installed on an existing home; new homes are not eligible.
- TEP strongly recommends the purchase and installation of ENERGY STAR qualified equipment.
How do I get started?
- Contact Baker's Mobile-Aire, Inc for an estimate.
- Once your new unit is installed, Baker's will mail a completed application with proof of purchase (copy of the paid invoice) and proper sizing calculation documentation to Tucson Electric Power Company.
- TEP will verify the equipment efficiency and then issue a check to you for the specified rebate amount. Your rebate will be paid within 60 days of receipt of the invoice and verification that equipment meets efficiency requirements.
